Job Responsibilities

PMO/Corporate Quality Certifications Functions:

  • Maintenance and Continuous Improvement of existing Management System (AMLC and related components)
  • Revisions as needed to meet company vision and objectives, as well as changes to certification requirements (ISO 9001 and CMMI)
  • Develop strategy for ongoing certification, to align requirements to maximize both certification and ROI to the organization
  • Function as primary POC for external audits for ISO 9001 and CMMI. 
  • Development of training in Quality and AMLC-related topics; ensure that all Project Managers and above are appropriately trained and knowledgeable in the requirements of the AMLC.
  • Coaching of individuals and teams in AMLC requirements and management activities.

Desired qualifications:

  • 4 years’ experience as Quality Manager with similar responsibilities
  • Experience facilitating ISO9K audit, CMMI SCAMPI A; serving as Appraisal Team Member.
  • ISO 9K Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor certifications
  • Introduction to CMMI-DEV/SVC
  • Experience development/delivering training

Internal Assessments:
  • Direction of Internal Assessments program.  Work with Internal Audit lead to coordinate audit factors, scoring, and processing of nonconformities. 

Desired qualifications:

  • 2 years’ experience conducting internal audits, plus relevant training (e.g., ASQ ISO 9001 Internal Auditor training)

 

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Management/Strategy for Customer Satisfaction Survey; analysis of data and reporting to executive management.  Identification of nonconformities; assignment, support during creation of Corrective Action Plans, and follow-up for closure on CAPs.

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience designing and managing surveys
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Access and Excel for analysis of data

Quality Management/Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain and improve strategy for Control of Documents and Records, including maintenance of ActioNet PAL.  Recommend technology improvements to support CDR procedure, and ensuring that all documents are current/maintained.
  • Corporate Quality reporting to Executive Management, including Annual Quality Review with EVP.  Summarize trends of all quality functions; make recommendations for future improvements. 
  • Improve maturity of back-office functions; support corporate goal of establishing SLAs for back-office services and measuring conformance to SLAs.  Assess conformance to department SOPs.  Coordinate cross-organizational process improvements. 
  • Serve as voice of Quality throughout the organization.  Act as advocate for corporate quality in meetings, All Hands, New Hire Orientation, and as needed directly with senior management and project teams to instill principles of quality throughout the organization. 

Desired qualifications:

  • Advanced certification in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence)
  • Experience operating at a senior management level, leading Quality Programs in an organization of 2,000+ employees.
  • Ability to interface with all levels in the organization (executive managers through line employees) and customers (CXO to project teams).
Skills Required

Candidate must possess the following to be considered:

·         Ability to provide organizational leadership in Quality functions
·         Excellent oral and written communication skills
·         Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
·         Hands-on experience with ISO 9001:2008 Audits (external and internal)
·         Hand-on experience with CMMI-DEV v1.3 (implementation and SCAMPI A participation)
·         Have direct involvement in Quality Management System (QMS) Implementation
·         Solid understanding of process and quality models
·         Senior-level management and supervisory experience, including dotted-line reporting from operational Business Units
·         Ability to prioritize and work with multiple assignments simultaneously
·         Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, customers, peers, and staff
·         Strong organizational skills
·         Positive and enthusiastic attitude
