The Scripting Technician will be responsible for writing unattended installation scripts per custom off-the-shelf (COTS) software or custom applications that can be called via the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) Task Sequence. The Scripting Technician will require experience with PowerShell, VBScript, and Winbatch scripting language batch files. The candidate will be responsible for creating a centralized marker file location after installing the script, and will provide detailed documentation and comments within each script. The scripts must be OS agnostic to support both Win7 and Win10. The Scripting Technician will require hands-on experience writing self-extracting packages to the desktop.
These activities will streamline the imaging process on an extensive lifecycle management project for the Federal Aviation Administration, as the new scripts will directly install software and applications currently installed manually.
Five years of IT experience.
Five years of experience writing unattended installation scripts for COTS software as detailed above.
Experience within the FAA IT environment.
Experience within a government agency’s IT environment.
